Latest Tribes Ascend Preview Video Talks Twinfusor Update, Shows Off..

Nearly two months after its last update, Hi-Rez have created yet another update for their MMO arena-shooter, Tribes : Ascend. The popular free to play game that just launched back in May is now getting its seventh new content update, this one titled 'Twinfusor'.

The update takes its name from the new gun that Hi-Rez have just put into the game, with Tribes : Ascend players now able to use the 'Twinfusor', a less lethal version of the Spinfusor gun that could be used in the game before the update. Rather than a single round of ammo, the Twinfusor fires two shots, which the dev team say is perfect for clearing out flag sites in games of CTF (Capture the Flag).

Also featured in the update are two new maps - Permafrost and Dangerous Crossing - the former being a frosty haven of snow with crystals illustrating the level and the latter is an updated version of an original Tribes map that remains popular.
