Elder Scrolls Online Confirmed, Details Coming This Month

It's official, dragon-born warriors: Bethesda Softworks has confirmed The Elder Scrolls Online as of Wednesday -- and in line with the previously-reported expectations, at that.
Currently in development at ZeniMax Online Studios, the upcoming MMORPG will be the first game in the series to allow players to share the experience with other Elder Scrolls fans. The game will ship for Windows and Macintosh systems, and will release in English, German and French iterations from day one. Further details will be available later this month via the June 2012 issue of Game Informer.
"We have been working hard to create an online world in which players will be able to experience the epic Elder Scrolls universe with their friends, something fans have long said they wanted," said Matt Firor, game director of The Elder Scrolls Online. "It will be extremely rewarding finally to unveil what we have been developing the last several years. The entire team is committed to creating the best MMO ever made and one that is worthy of The Elder Scrolls franchise."
In addition to the Game Informer preview, The Elder Scrolls Online will be featured in print and online games publications across Europe in the coming months as more details are released.
