One of the world's most popular MMOs, Guild Wars 2, will be getting a beta, say the developers of the highly anticipated game, NCSoft and ArenaNet.
The oft-delayed fantasy MMO is scheduled for the rather vague release date of 'TBA 2012' but in the meantime, it's important that the team behind the game gets it right, especially as Guild Wars 2 includes a "unique" task system that replaces quests with dynamic events that are affected by players' actions, meaning that the Guild Wars 2 beta could be vital to the game's success.
Set to take place between April 27 - 29, the beta will be the first chance that players have to explore the game world of Tyria. NCSoft and Arena net also say that there is only one way to guarantee yourself a spot in the Guild Wars 2 beta.
To be up for a chance, you have to pre-purchase either the Standard/Digital, Collector's or Digital Deluxe edition of Guild Wars 2. Click here to pre-purchase Guild Wars 2.
The developers also added that in addition to beta access, eligible beta players will receive three-day "Headstart Access prior to the launch", as well as the "exclusive Heros Band in-game item".
