Tribes Ascend Launches Officially as a Free to Play

Hi-Rez Studios sci-fi multiplayer shooter, Tribes : Ascend has finally launched today, after months of anticipation and the setting up of highly successful beta that was experienced my over half a million people.
Featuring a team-based multiplayer gameplay and a massive list of gadgetry for players to utilise in the game - including jetpacks and skiis - Tribes : Ascend touts the very impressive title of " the worlds fastest shooter".
All of those aforementioned features will be available in the Tribes : Ascend release build along with the following :
-9 playable classes
-5 game-modes
-16 unique maps
Hi-Rez also say that a "Custom Server functionality" (which you can preview in the release build) will be fully available for Tribes : Ascend players soon.
Todd Harris, Hi-Rez Studios COO says that "weve had a very passionate dev team working hard toward this goal".
