38 Studios Nabs Zynga GM, Working on a Kingdoms of Amalur MMO

38 Studios, developer of the critically acclaimed PS3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows RPG, Kingdoms of Amalur : Reckoning, are gearing up for the next release, a yet to be announced MMO, by hiring two MMO experts.
Their first hire, John Blakely, was previously the General Manager at social gaming juggernaut Zynga's Austin offices and has previously worked on Everquest 2 as well as the absolutely stellar superhero MMO, DC Univoerse Online and will join 38 Studios as senior vice-resident of development.
Second hire, Mark Hansen, was senior director of Playwell Studios, the team reposnsible for the now defunct family themed MMO, Lego Universe, a game that closed down back in November. He will now assume the role of senior vice-resident of online operations and business.
Curt Shilling, chairman of 38 Studios says that "[He is] proud to add these two team-focused and incredibly accomplished leaders to the 38 Studios roster. Both John and Mark have had a decade of experience and success in the MMO space, and I'm excited they are now part of the 38 Studios family."
With such experienced and knowledgeable MMO experts on their team, the Kingdoms of Amalur MMO is really going to be something.
