Just four days after we told you about Lord of the Rings Online being available via Gaikai and just over a week after the last LOTRO update going live, the game's publisher, Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, in conjunction with (LOTRO dev) Turbine Inc have announced that yet another set of features will be added to the game.
Lord of the Rings Online update number six, titled 'Shores of the Great River' will allow players to explore the vast, expansive shores of Anduin. Seven new areas of upper Anduin will be on offer, including 'the green plains of Parth Celebrant' where shades will be looking to tear you limb from limb.
Two of the new stories that you can now follow is the mission to push back the Easterlings, 'dangerous brigands' as well as defending from the centuries-old enemy of Rohan as they plan an attack on Rohan and Lorien.
Other new Lord of the Rings Online features include - the 'soldier on landscape' (you can now customise and then summon your skirmish soldier during battle), the 'Instance Finder' upgrade provided in update 6 now allows you to queue for instances, change loot rules and remove players thanks to a fellowship vote.
And lest I forgot to mention the new measures of extra XP for skirmish completion and currency bonuses!
