Warner Bros. and Gaikai Team Up to Make Their MMOs Available In-Browser

Gaikai, is the service that allows you to stream games from thin air - the cloud - with no need to buy a physical product or download countless files.
Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment, are the team of talented, creative game devs with a roster of epic MMO titles that everyone wants to play.
The two of them have decided to partner up to make two of the latter's free to play games (Dungeons & Dragons Online, Lord of the Rings Online) available for play via the former, saving potential LOTRO and D&D Online players from the long, laborious process of downloading the right files to play the games.
This is a first for Gaikai who, before now, have never offered MMOs via their service, Robert Stevenson, EVP at Gaikai says that MMOs have always been one of the key genres that weve wanted to deliver via the cloud - never before has it been possible to play MMOs in this way, and that they "...couldn't be more pleased" to play host to the games.
Craig Alexander, Vice President of Product Development at Turbine, the developer of both games, echoes this sentiment, saying that Gaikai's game streaming service will make it easier than ever for new players to start their epic adventures in our immersive online worlds,.
