Obviously, the quickest way to level up your hero is to go out there and find monsters to feel the 'wrath of your blade', as it were - make sure you've assigned a decent number of helper units (e.g arches, war chariots etc.) first. Alternatively, if this is a bit of a grind for you, head to the arena and see how you fare against real life opponents , if you're of a lower level, then you probably won't win, but on the bright you side, you will gain a ton of experience and be able to level up as a result!
